We always have someone in the cockpit when using a tp

keeping an eye on our track - while the pilot will keep you on a heading, set and drift will require occasional adjustment to stay on track. We will be using ours tonight to cross the Gulf Steam but will keep a watchful eye on it. I am constantly amazed at the people who put all their, confidence in chart plotters to the exclusion of even reading the water. Here in the Bahamas they can be off by a good bit in some areas. It is said that it is one of the main reasons for grounding over hear.
