The devil's in the details.

Well, I've carefully re-read my log for that period of my life.It could be that my link 10 was off, but I seriously question that. Mary my wife tells me that I told her we were getting 22 or 23 amps out of the system? So who really exactly knows?
I do know that we had all the electrical power we needed both for the boat and for our Palapa on the beach in what was then Play Santispec. It was located in Bahia Concepcion' Bay. I'd drive the boat hard up on the beach, she draws 3'6' at the aft end of the keel, about 2.6 at the bow. Hook up the 110VAC from our inverter to the Palapa, hook up a demand water pump to our 110 gallon water tank and we were in them. At 20' you could gather all the scallops you could eat, weekly a shrimp boat or two would come into the bay and for $5 you could buy a kilo of fresh shrimp. Sometime during the week the fisherman that lived at the far end of the beach would bring fish in for sale, always same day fish. At the end of the beach was a fresh warm water spring which had been rocked in. Made a perfect place for a evening bath. Too bad it is all gone. a Hurricane wiped it all out.
In July I sold TPIII to a friend who had the dream. We have already done our dream cruises.
I still have my little boat First Born, the first boat Morgan Embroden ever designed. He also designed TPII and the entire trismus class of French boats, he's been a friend since my 19th birthday. We met at Cal Tech.
