I have been tracing systems and found a Y valve under the v-berth for the holding tank. Based on the diagram drawn on the inside of the locker it appears that the overboard discharge capability still exsists, although the valve itself "may" have been disabled. This may sound odd, but in all my years of boat ownership this is the first ever I have seen a head set up with overboard discharge.

I will be heading down to the boat in a couple of hours and plan on pulling out access panels to follow things further. It appears that there is a Whale pump set up to empty the holding tank.

My question is, does anyone know if I need to remove the pump, Y valve and related hoses to be USCG compliant? Seems to me I recall that was a requirement.
