The 'prime' area of chainplate failure is typically any zone that has been 'bent'. This forms a 'stress riser' that vastly reduces the structural load bearing (fatigue or / and ductile).
So, if your plates have a 'kink' so that the shrouds align perfectly with the 'top' of the plate; either, greatly increase the metal thickness or change the 'kink' to a large radius bend as possible (and maybe add a stiffener/gusset) in the area of the 'kink'/bend.
