I usually just get in the dingy and start wiping it on the hull. When it starts to burn my skin I stick my arm in the water.

It's not that bad. The only thing to watch is your eyes. Of course, It would be better if I used gloves.

Now that you mention it, it did change the color of the bottom paint at the waters edge for a couple of days but then it went away and looked normal.

It's just Oxalic acid. The same precautions should apply.

Now Easy Off?? Only in the oven.
