But the same CG and insurance liability goes for not displaying an anchor ball at anchor during the day. Do you display yours or do you figure that it is unlikely that the anchor ball will make a difference in avoiding someone running into your boat. My point is that it is unlikely that a bright aftermarket bulb will be an issue considering the host of probable catastrophies I may face. When the delivery skippers or charter folks take a boat do they check that the bulbs match the proscribed manufacturer list?
