Well,, at the moment it's 6 golf carts. I like the weight for ease of replacement when cruising. In March we were ready to leave the Rio Dulce and were having battery problems (6 year old batteries) so Steve and I pulled two out No problem. By the time we got to Mexico it became apparent we had a third bad battery. I stopped by a battery store in Puerto Morelles and bought one. Now we were back to 6. ( I know, it's bad to mix old and new but it was necessary and is working great)

Golf carts can be purchased anywhere. We never had to wait for some giant hard to install battery to arrive.

I don't mind the attention they need. It gives me a chance to poke around my engine room more often. I find that a good thing.
