I had 4 12 volt batteries on my Freeport 36 and switched to Trojans. When I did I just added an additional connecting cable and didn't even think about getting rid of the switch. Didn't cross my mind. Did the same thing on the Gulfstar 50 but removed it later. Now that it's gone and I had to take 2 batteries out due to a short in one I realized the advantage I would have had of leaving it in and just keeping it on ALL.
