My boat is tucked into a dock inside the Stamford hurricane barrier

There's no way she'd survive on my mooring, which is wide open to the east with a 30+ mile fetch. The seas at my mooring will almost certainly top 10 feet based on the forecast (I've seen 5-8 in northeasters with only half the wind Irene is packing). I spent most of the last 24 hours prepping and she's as ready as I can make her. My biggest concern is airborne debris and large floating objects breaking loose. Both dingies are hauled and in my garage at home. I'm expecting damage either at home on the boat but there are limits to what one can do.

Dave I wish you and DougR -- and everyone else the best. I think we're all going to need a lot of luck.
