I've got the same problem with easterlies thought not as bad 
In Response To: My boat is tucked into a dock inside the Stamford hurricane barrier ()
The breakwater in the background is east but anything more than a 2' storm surge and it will be submerged. The height of the storm is supposed to hit us on Sunday night and unfortunately that coincides with our high tide. It could get pretty messy for us in Little Harbor.
A good mooring, double pennants, good chafe gear, and stripping down the boat will hopefully be our boat's ticket to surviving this one. Best of luck to all
