The west coast storms are in no way micro storms....
I guess another difference is predicability...

I agree the coverage was pretty overblown...
Hinckley yard must be full
Overblown?
I agree with Steve that it's perspective that counts.
Ask the people in Vermont
on top of killington mt in vt...
I'm thinking it's the low ground and all the houses, etc. on it that makes the east coast vulnerable.
I think Irene did more damage soundside and inland than on the Outer Banks
Did you actually read my post?
Yes, I read your post, but...
We have two channels with the national news...
Television coverage of any event is driven by product and ratings
Saturday evening & Sunday was my concern
But up until the point that the system went from Cat 1 to TS...
Exactly!
C'mon guys - respond to what I write!
With regard to TWC and some of their sensationalization.
You're dreaming...
I clearly said I was not talking about NC
I don't know, Irene was still a bit more than "just a rain storm" when it made a second landfall here in NJ...
Well...Jon
Where are the building codes.
Think!!!
Developers own the Local Governements
Quit subsidizing flood insurance.
I wouldn't worry too much about your having to foot the bill for my neighborhood...
One of the more devastated areas in Vermont was on top of Killington Mountain.
Red X.....would really like to see that pic
That was an old one that won't go away Tom. Very bad situation in VT. Even know some that lost their lives.
West Coast vs. East Coast
Pacific Pacific
it's only a matter of time until we have hurricane names sponsored such as the "Lowe's Hurricane Irene"...
Are you sure
hey Jim, as I'm the one making this up, I decide the way it works and it doesn't work that way.
It's gotta be comin'!
