From my earlier posting:
"I was only talking about the coverage after the storm passed north of Norfolk and the peak winds dropped below 60 knots - the storm hitting NC and southern VA was big news."

I know NC and SE VA were hard hit - I know you had to prepare as you did!
The "hype" from Saturday afternoon thru Sunday was just new/weather channel T&A and served no useful purpose. The storm prep had been done - the professionals knew what was happening - the news did not need to be out there trying to make the situation sound worse that it was.
