As I said, the coverage I was commenting on was virtually totally NYC centric. There was a very brief mention of the prt of Long Island adjacent to NYC and a mention of the hardship of Atlantic City casinos shutting down, but other than that you would have thought the storm was ONLY impacting NYC. There was no mention of Connecticut or new england. There was no mention of places south of Atlantic City.

Incidentally, the 35 knots I referred to was EIGHT hours before peak conditions. Forecast winds were 40-50 knots with gusts to 65. My boat rode out the storm on her regular mooring. I certainly didn't hide from the storm.
