They should sell T-shirts, "I survived the Cape Cod Canal"

It really is a nasty stretch of water. I'm careful after many runs through, but my last was memorable. Riding the not yet full ebb west hitting the stiff southerly breeze this past saturday, the water turned into a blender!

I powered back, waves flew over the boat, as I looked at the sailboat next to me. He looked like he might pitch pole! Poor guy gave me the look,..."what the hell do I do?" I sent him back the, "don't ask me, I'm from Maine", look.

But we're safe and sound in quiet(and raining cats and dogs) Red Brook Harbor. The wind has been nothing but fierce around here since we arrived. We're lucky to have Dave Evans handing us local knowledge and apologies for the weather(that was kind Dave, not your fault). It's all good, even in the rain and wind. My anchoring skills are getting a work out these days.

This is a photo of a calmer passage through the CC Canal. Always close your hatches and turn the forward cowl aft, rule one.
