Returning a boat from the Annapolis show to Sandy Hook NJ and we were very close to shore (within 1-2 miles usually) -- we got a nice push northbound, typically close to a knot. Never checked the current tables -- just compared the SOG with knotmeter. We were on a "delivery" trying to finish the trip before a northeaster moved in so we were going regardless of current.
