and it's quite pleasant with good holding, a good stop so long as the wind direction has an "s" in it. I tried staying there in a westerly once (hoping the headland to the WNW would block) but the winds wrapped the headlands and paralleled the shore locally, the fetch putting up quite a chop. Made a last-minute decision to bail out for Tashmoo and arrived at dusk. The wind and current were opposed through Vineyard Sound so the peace and quiet upon entering Tashmoo was a relief to the entire family after lots of motion all evening. I was a hero for that decision .
