Last season quite a bit. I'm sure I motored twice your season distance.

Our trip to the cape was rare in that I motored both ways and most of our time there. Usually I'd say we split it about half and half, or probably closer to 60/40 power versus sail. That's one problem with heading off any distance we find. But it's still worth it for us, we average a month or more onboard in season and frankly, I need to the engine to do that.

Even if we don't go very far though, we still power a hundred or more hours I'd say for a season.

I like to use the engine in season, I think it allows us to get some better range under sail. Once you head up or down the coast, you're pretty reliant on using it.
