Dual Sailing Seasons ... One Design in the Summer, Cruising in the Winter 
In Response To: Do year round sailors sail more? Do they want to? ()
We race our 18' one design scow, Y Flyer, all summer and live and cruise aboard our Passport 37 all winter. The two different types of sailing complement each other very well and we never get tired of sailing. But I will admit looking forward to the racing season being over each year and switching to cruising mode. Not sure I look forward to cruising mode being over, but I'm sure if we stayed aboard I soon would.
