Unfortunately. I didn't have much time to spend as I was moving a boat to Maine. I was amazed though how rapidly things changed from urban to quite beautiful in a few miles. I also didn't have much of a guide then for anchorages, etc. Now the internet is a good source for that.

How do you guys(sailing in that area) feel about available anchorages and room to anchor in LIS? Are there plenty of well protected options or do you find taking moorings more the case? How about mainland vs LI for best sailing?
When do things slow down seasonally?
