It's mating and calving season in Baja. We saw several females with a couple males each being very attentive indeed. The deed is done on their sides or with the male on his back usually. This male did a reverse dive near us. I couldn't help feeling like a voyeur, but at least the whales didn't take offense. Mag Bay is in the 60's at this time of year. I fully understand why they choose Baja rather than the Bering Sea for calving and mating!
