I also changed to LED. and have a Davis that hangs on the for deck and uses a small amount of power.

When at anchor in secluded places in the Sea of Cortez, we also have 2 solar garden lights that have a color similar to a flame. We put one forward just above the deck on the rail, and one aft. They are not the cheap ones as they last all night long.

When the panga fishermen are coming home after dark, they are NOT looking up! But they DO see what looks like a flame just off the water level!!!
