The Dietz is a standard for many Maine schooners.

I bought one at the local hardware store and they told me they sell them to schooners. They use them as anchor lights until they rust out, then they buy another. They're very inexpensive. I bought one for an approaching storm(for the house) and like it so much, I might get another one for the boat for a cabin and cockpit light. Fill it, store in a safe place, and it's ready to use.
