Some places you have difficulty fixing. Yes, PC can be fixed easier as they need to be; IMHO. However that said I've had 2 Mac issues in 4 years of full time cruising, I have two Macs - one for backup, and 1 PC issue; I have the one PC for Airmail.

In many large cities there are Mac places to get repairs, Antigua I think had a place - didn't need it; Trinidad - didn't need it; and Panama City - used them and they were great.

That said; everbody we know that has had any issue with Raymarine has not been able to either have it fixed in anything less then 3 months or had to simply buy a new unit. So I wonder; do you apply the same advice to the instruments on the boat?
