For a PC with the exact same components and quality? And conformal coated motherboard (my mac laptop has that)?

Almost all PC's I see and use, including the high end ones, have inferior displays and dvd drives and few have firewire or express PCI ports. Most of them do not have the latest CPU's because Apple takes all of Intel's output for several months of a new production. None of them have the latest communication port technology, since that is Apple-specific right now.

Many studies and articles have shown that while Apple sells ONLY high-end computers, the price of those computers are equal to, or often less than, an exactly equipped PC (if available at all).

The point is that Apple has chosen to sell only high-end computers and have nothing in the commodity low-end, low-price range. People often mistake that for Apple being more expensive.

You get the same arguments and debate and misconceptions about multis being more expensive than monos...
