I bought a ....
In Response To: Suzuki video ()

Mercury 3.5 HP and hated it. Ran like crap and the dealer gave me a full refund after they could not make it run well.

Bought a Suzuki and the shear pin snapped at 25 minutes of use, without hitting anything, must have been defective. It wound up ruining the prop so it kept snapping shear pins. Doh', and the prop was about $80.00 on a $650.00 motor.... Dealers response to the failed shear pin at 25 minutes if use, not covered. Was not happy with the vibration/support prop/pin design, rubbery feeling throttle arm and sold it on Craig's list, ran well though.

Finally bought a Yamaha 2.5 and been VERY happy.... While not a two stroke it runs well, is quiet and has a considerably more robust feel/build than the Merc/Tohatsu/Nissan or Suzuki had. My brother has the Honda 2 so I already knew I did not want that...

Not a lot of "good" options in small four strokes but I like the Yamaha the best. I would still MUCH prefer a two stroke though.... If the Merc/Tohatsu/Nissan ran well I'd like that second then the Suzuki then the Honda. Honda is just to darn noisy for us...
