This epiphany occurred the middle of the night after a 2 1/2 hour 35 knot convection squall and a shift of wind at a steady 20 knots from the north kicking up some really uncomfortable seas in the Gulfstream while we were trying to get to Charleston. The admiral was throwing up and I was keeping an orange Home Depot bucket in my arms as it was needed by me on occasion. The winds and seas started to calm somewhat, the Admiral was asleep and I picked up the binoculars to get a better look at a light in the distance. When I picked them up I realized I didn't need to worry that the batteries were dead and that I've never gotten pissed because the software needed to be upgraded or the USB wasn't working on the Parallels partition. Epiphany!
Oars, sails, cowl vents and lead lines aren't the same as the amazing properties the lens system and utility binoculars give you. The compass battery isn't part of the binoculars either as it's an ancillary item and an add on.
Epiphany's are personal, usually take place under out of the ordinary conditions and you guys just don't understand.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.'
Oh,,,, yes Jon,, I am a dinosaur! One of my favorite songs, Jerry Jess Walkers 'Dinosaur Blues'.
