I'd like to be better prepared for the next storm and am contemplating a generator for backup power. I don't need to run the whole house, only the sump pump is critical, with perhaps the refrig useful. I'm thinking about the Honda 3000IS. Does anyone have any experience with this unit (or similar Honda generator) or have any advice to offer? The 3000IS has an electric starter, i.e., a battery -- how does one keep it charged properly when used infrequently? (BatteryTender?)
