I've never had any bleeding problems, even running the engine dry of fuel.

() My engine has 2 bleed screws on the Bosch injection pump that have to bled if you run it dry. It also has a Bosch finger pump that brings my fuel from the bilge level easily up the 3 feet or so to the engine.
