In the past I would have agreed with you, Dave. However, I've had a change of attitude in the past few years. If you come close or try to board my boat with any threatening tone, you'll see my weapon. If you continue, I will chamber a round. If you persist and threaten me or my family with bodily harm, I will stand ready to defend myself and family.
I don't carry when traveling, particularly when my neighboring state doesn't have reciprocity for permits (I have a concealed carry permit in NH).
I keep the trigger locked with a combination lock until I'm ready to use it so no unwanted users can fire it.
