I don't like the unsafe ones as well,,,, sometimes you just don't know, what was safe last year isn't this year and so on.

I don't think it's possible to cruise and not anchor in places you would rather not be. There were a couple of weeks in Venezuela when we traveled in groups of 3 or 4, anchor close together and take turns through the night keeping watches. It was pretty safe in Venezuela in 02 and then the coup hit. We were in Puerto La Cruz and had to get out, fast.
