NYC has very tough gun laws also

Don't get caught carrying there either. Even pepper spray is tightly regulated and you must buy it within NY and have certain documentation. (See link)
I wouldn't consider Riker's Island a nice place to wait for trial either. If you drop the soap, leave it on the floor.
