I haven't heard one threatening story in this thread. I have many but here are 3.

We had a cruising friend that was killed by another cruiser that stole his boat and dumped his body overboard.

We have another friend that was boarded at night by 4 armed men who threw a blanket over him, tied him up and beat him while his wife watched. They gave the thugs everything they had. Our cruising friends both went to the hospital.

We have another friend who fought with a thief below decks finally getting the better of him but only after being pretty beat up himself.

Cruising in the states doesn't count! Hell, I'm not even sure if cruising in the states is cruising at all.
