No problem. It really
In Response To: GREAT IDEA! ()

was fun and we plan on doing it again. Just remember to move at low tide. You can see the Petaluma and Napa channels which are plenty deep. At high tide all you see is a big marsh. Our Garman 3210 was spot on the entire way up to both towns. Likewise, it was the same in the delta as well. On the way into the Delta the Carquinez Strait was a slog so you need to get through it at slack or better yet flood. There are several Yacht Clubs and marinas along the straits, The Drift Wood YC, was one particularly funky one we enjoyed. We ducked in there because of the tide and afternoon wind were both against us. There is no limit to the number of places to anchor. As an example, we were on the old town dock in Sacramento and decided we wanted a beach for the grand daughters so we just sailed a mile or so back down the river to where there was a bend that had a beach. We did a bow and stern over on the side and I think we stayed there three days. You'll have fun.
