It has come a long way since the chicken-rendering times of years past. We stopped there for a couple nights while cruising last summer (long overdue I might add).
I agree with just about everything you said except for the thing about the co-op. My cousin (who lives there and happened upon me as I was walking to the laundramat) recommended the co-cop. But I found the place to be woefully overpriced. We ended up walking to the Hannaford instead. It was a bit of a hike, but we needed the exercise.
But everything else -- spot on. They've revitalized the place beautifully. Lots of little places to eat/drink, awesome new boatyard, freindly friendly town dock personnel, decent town facilities. Can't ask for much more than that.
