The original story is well worth a read, a classic example of a series of cascading failures... Lots of blame seems to be placed on those who 'serviced' WOLFHOUND prior to departure... Then, the Mastervolt charger/inverter craps out... Then, the engine won't start, 'sludge' in the fuel tank is suspected... Then, their handheld VHF is dead, despite "having been fully charged prior to departure"... All this, resulting in the loss of the boat, simply to be able to meet the deadline to race in the Caribbean 600?
Wow, talk about one that was ill-fated right from the start...
