We've spoken before about the Plana Cays, I'll have to check them out someday. I've only sailed past them at night, on the way further south...
Another wonderful spot in that neighborhood is Samana Cay... VERY tight entrance channel through the reef, should only be attempted in ideal conditions and good light, but once you're inside, pretty well protected. You could ride out a frontal passage or strong weather out of the NE there, like the open roadstead at Rum Cay, it's a blow from the SE-SW that you wouldn't want to see, there...
If you're looking for pristine remoteness in the Out Islands of the Bahamas, Samana is as good as it gets...
