I hope they don't become as thick out there as the drilling rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. I remember one year sailing back to Galveston from the Yucatan encountering 40 kt head winds 100 miles off the coast of Texas. After four nights underway, single handed, I just wanted to hove to and get a good night's sleep. I had to get up every couple of hours and beat back away from some rig I was drifting down on. Actually, now that I think about it, it's not such a big price to pay for clean energy. Let's go for it.
