This just came out of the sheds.
I could probably design some sliding shutters for those thruster holes..
Those holes must create turbulence. I wonder how much?
I've been told there is some drag

Or Bill Shaw's Pearson 40
Wow. As a bonafide powerboater, I'd say those thrusters are pretty far aft.
Agree
Maybe it's deliberate and smart
Dockside handling should be "interesting"
Cary Ali is in the water and headed to Florida, black hull, varnish and all.
Here's the cockpit.
It's criminal to take that boat to FL.
How are they shipping her?
Pretty boat - love it when they float on their lines.
I see a vang . . .
Good questions, here's the boom, closer.
what is the boat next to her?
yawl?
40 WINKS is a Bruce Kirby(Laser designer) one off, JayZ.
That shot shows the vang.
Cary Ali is nearly commissioned.
Wow, Beautiful work!
That main sheet "grommet hole" seems out of the zone to me.
That's bad design, if that's what it is
Maybe I'm missing something, that is yet to come.
From your pictures, isn't that the mainsheet coming from the grommet on the stern coaming of the cockpit?
Same mainsheet on Friendship 40
Thanks for that. I guess that is the Fontaine mainsheet arrangement.

Don't forget, Fontaine group designs the boat here, I'm just the messenger.
That mainsheet arrangement has become pretty common on large Swans and Wallys...
Wow! Great vid, Jon. Well, the mainsheet through a mouse hole works.
Beautiful!
Another interesting video
Interesting 40 foot "daysailor."
Damn, I need some eye bleach after seeing that awning support structure... (grin)
That is a real fair weather boat
Totally. These boats are not made to go far from home or for very long.
Cary Ali has her canvas on.
Tom...
That will be a little easier on the varnish.
