This boat is a showpiece of new sailboat tech. I've never seen so many devices to handle sailing installed on a boat this size. And it looks like little design time was spared to think through how all this will work in actual use. The cockpit is a work of art both in form and function. The comfort ergonomics look perfect. Details like recessed cleats and shapely chocks are beautiful.
Here's a close up. On the port side of the helmsmen, it looks like the hydraulics can be switched between the points of use and then operated. 4 toe switches are mounted under clever little guards I suppose you get the feel of scuffing open then stepping on. There's also more pressure switches, foot activated just above the sole on the port and starboard bulkheads. Notice the screen nicely mounted on the aft face of the cockpit table(check out the SS framing for that). No pod clutter.
And that single line from the boom (which has down lights installed into it) appears to be the mansheet which has little to do with a hydraulic vang.
And here's why that mainsheet is there; There are permenant SS mounts in the coaming for fastening this bimini frame. That bimini must have been a real design challenge for the Fontaine group! We'll see how they did,... I fully understand the need(bimini) for a boat that will day sail out of Jupiter Florida.
A local canvas maker is building the bimini, dodger and cushions right now(Cary Ali has been good for our local economy).
