I noticed when someone posted the Fontaine website, this bimini is not a new idea at Fontaine, it's on their big boats. It's not bad to look at, at least from this angle.

The thing that makes no sense to me is, there is a clear plastic panel in the middle, to let the sun come through(it has a velcro canvas piece below, to block the sun). If that's to see the sail, it still doesn't make much sense, unless it's easy to remove-replace.

The thing I love about it is, by loosening SS set screws, the whole thing lifts off in one piece. I suppose you might do that if you have a dock.

Anyway, she's done and will be packed away for winter and trucked to Florida in the spring I surmise. It was a very unusual project for Rockport Marine.
