It's in the rigging stages and will start sea trials soon. Too busy taking photos, I didn't notice the rigging details. All I see is the red braided line off the end of the boom. It leads through a SS bushing into the aft coaming. Could that be the mainsheet, electrically winched from below? That in conjunction with the vang for main sail shape? It's obvious the design priorities are the seating and helming in the cockpit unfettered by things like a traveler.
The boat does have pleasant lines. It's quite beamy and saucer shaped. I'm a sucker for low freeboard boats, done well. I think that's why I'm drawn to older designs of any kind as well as some of the "new" daysailing designs like this.
High freeboard is fine as it adds volume to a boat for cruising but it detracts from what I think makes a beautiful boat on the water.
In fact the boat will winter in Rockport before heading south next year. Wherever it goes, It'll never look as pretty as it does here in this harbor.
