• What chart plotters/GPS units will co-display on an ipad?

      • Yes. Then our external gps, through blue tooth, plots our location on the charts.
        • No, ipad is just WIFI... (I'm a Pirate.... we're a tad on the cheap end.... spend money on a cell enabled ipad!!!! LOL!!
          • Same boat here. There may be a small plus or two to an external gps reciever.
          • If you're buying an iPad for navigation, get the model with GPS

  • Lowrance HDS Gen2 touch will work with it via WiFi
    • Lowrance can't even get their own software right
      • I have had zero problems with my HDS gen1
        • Are you using their crappy charts?
          • Yes, they are fine for where I sail
