It is better for me to be doing other things like tossing lines or setting/adjusting spring and breast lines or jumping off or adjusting fenders, etc. For some reason she masters the steering/thrust part but doesn't "get" the spring line/breast line control part when coming alongside, and my legs are longer for getting off onto a dock quickly. About the only time we change positions is when there is bad current or cross wind where I seem to be the one who understands aggressive use of the throttles better.
