DDW- Have you considered United Yacht Transport?

United Yacht Transport rose from the ashes of YachtPath. I met the principal of the new venture at the January boat show in Seattle. It didn't inspire confidence that he is a hedge fund operator from New York City. On the other hand, they seem to have built in some consumer protections, escrow, etc., with this go-around. Some of the same people from the old company are involved with loading the ships. You can get from Florida to Vancouver, BC on one of their trips. I don't know what your cost would be. You could go to Golfito, Costa Rica too.

We used YachtPath from Ensenada to Nanaimo in 2012. Except for delays of a few weeks from the original schedule, it went okay. There were some rust stains from overhead gear that the free cleaning at the end of the voyage did not remove. With time they went away.

I think it was in 2013 when YachtPath went down there were some horror stories posted on the internet regarding people who had deposits or who were loaded on vessels at the time.

I haven't verified any of those stories and don't haven't checked the goodness of United Yacht Transport. Caveat Emptor as always, but worth checking out.

What brings you to the Pacific Northwest? Maybe we'll cross paths.
