I like the warm glow of incandescent lights in my boat, but that amp meter reminds me that they do suck considerable energy.

I am thinking that the best solution is to replace a few with LED, leave one or two as incandescent, and have at least one really nice halogen for reading/close work. I also have compact florescents already on board.

This way I can choose whatever lighting I prefer.
