Since we've been coming to the Bahamas

now for 7 years, we are aware of Chris' forecasts. I feel that he has to "play" to his audience. By that I mean most of the Bahamas cruisers need "training wheel". They don't want to be caught out in a blow. They need to be able to hide. That said, Chris understands this and he will always err on the high side. So what if they hide and it ends up being 17. They really don't care. Plus, usually throws in the squall factor. That covers him even more. In the end, people really don't complain that he predicted 20-25 and it was 15-18. However, if he predicted 18 and it was 25 all hell would break loose.

I think Chris is a businessman that wants to keep his customer base...after all, who really expects a weatherman to be accurate? Myself, I pull down my weather daily from Ocens and vary between GRIBS and other products. I am able to compare what I have vs. what Chris is saying, and I have been way more accurate over the years, but then "I know my customer"...grin.
