They sound like lot of people I know. If fact

they sound like the norm. They sound like everyone I sail with. In fact, they sound like me. Wait!, that was 30 years ago I was thinking about. Replace the "tablets and laptops" with Sextant, HO249 tables and an almanac and you nailed it! If you had a wind Generator that wasn't bought out of the back of a magazine and assembled by yourself you were living large. If you could freeze more then 6 hamburger paddies and still make a tray of ice you were where the party was happening.

Even if these guys pack it in at the end of the season they still did it. They got the T shirts. They took a bite out of life and saw a pretty good chunk of the world doing it. They did it small by todays standards they but still did it. So many people are waiting for just the right moment. Just the right financial picture, for the kids to be settled and married or for the dog to die. You give me a reason and someone is waiting for it to happen. Sadly, most of those people will never go. Get up out of your chair and go. Go now. I can promise you that the bad knee, the bad hip, the arthritis and the sick mom are just around the corner. If that's the situation your in, mom will understand, put the dog down, (he'll most likely thank you) stock up on your meds and go. Commuter cruise, fly home to visit mom. OK, maybe you gave the dog to the kids for a while. They owe it to you, it was probably their dog anyway. The point is that these folks went out, figured out a way and did it. Did it small but still did it and you can as well. You just have to want it enough. Good luck.
