I assume your son grew up well. Focusing on a child in its early life can offer benefits for a lifetime IF the parents are really into that and IF they are really good parents.

The question is it better compared to what?

I'm not suggesting that taking a baby and very young child is reckless endangerment (a crime). But, I do feel in most cases it isn't for the child, it's part of something that the parent wants to do.

In this case of the two young children (one a baby), I have no reason to believe the parents are bad. But, I do not believe the reason to go now with the kids has to do with child development.

I don't think my beliefs are self evident truths that apply to all.
