... to someone who grew up sailing it may be normal.
Knowing what conditions 'could' be out there, I wouldn't want to be the one year old tossed around down below for days on end. The endless jarring of pounding waves is not fun for anyone no less someone who is completely helpless as a one year old. Shoot, I don't know, maybe they had a cool rig they strapped the little tike into that rocked it to sleep in 20ft. seas?
