was even food bought in local farmers markets was beginning to rot in a day or two with no refrigeration. Then I started looking BEHIND the booths, and noticed cartons the produce had been shipped in- in refrigerated trucks!!
Seems a good bit of the "local" produce on the east coast, was being shipped from California, or Mexico. And "already been refrigerated" produce won't last three days aboard in warm weather.
So I learned to question origins.
